Hotels

If you decide to stay in a hotel during your holiday then the biggest decision you will have will be whether or not you want to stay in a hotel onsite of the parks or offsite. Booking with a travel agent will normally include a hotel picked by them and can be onsite or offsite depending on the deal.

You will also have to consider where you plan to spend most of you time. If you plan to spend more time at Disney then you should look for hotels in the Kissimmee and Davenport Area, or, along the 192. There are also hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area close to Disney. Most people who decide to stay in a hotel rather than a villa and who are planning a complete Disney holiday tend to stay in one of the 32 Disney Resort Hotels.

If your plan is to spend more time in Universal then you will have a large selection of hotels in International Drive from Hilton Hotels to Rosen Inn hotels. International Drive tends to have the more modern hotels with more shopping and things to do close by. People who stay in offsite hotels tend to stay in or around International Drive where they are closer to shopping and dining experiences.

Most hotels include shuttles or transfers to the various parks in the area but you will have to check with the hotels themselves for more details. Some hotels even include onsite car rental companies if you decide to rent a car for part of your stay!

Websites such as booking.com, Trivago and Expedia have hundreds of hotels to suit your needs depending on the size of your group and length of stay.

Please visit our Disney Hotels and Universal Hotels pages for more information about staying onsite.
